Brittany Cowan
Founder and Creative Director
Brittany grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Southern California. She started her marketing career in Boston, dabbling in educational start-ups, marketing agencies and travel organizations. The mountains were calling, and Brittany moved to Denver and earned her M.A. in International and Intercultural Communications from the University of Denver in June 2014. Her coursework concentrated on international communication, nonprofit management and Latin American studies. She has lived, studied, and worked in five countries (the United States, Spain, Nicaragua, Mexico and Guatemala) and four states (Alaska, California, Massachusetts and Colorado).
Brittany currently works as the Director of Marketing at Denver Public Schools, where she leads the district’s brand identity, school communications for 150 district-run schools, the SchoolChoice and district enrollment efforts, and communications for other strategic initiatives for the district.
Brittany enjoys spending time with her family — her husband (Patrick), son (Theo) and daughter (Riley). She loves traveling to new countries, camping, hiking, snowboarding, spin classes, taking her dog on long walks, and never trying the same restaurant twice.
She is a big believer that each individual can make a positive impact on the world. Since 2015, she has volunteered one hour per week with Reading Partners Colorado. Reading and spending time with her student is one the highlights of her week! She also enjoys being a lifelong learner -- right now she is practicing nature photography.
